Acadia Heating System
Are you tired of paying oil or gas bills? Eliminate fossil fuels by installing an Acadia system. The Acadia is the first air-source heat pump that can operate with efficiencies similar to a geothermal system without the need for trenching, digging or drilling in the yard. The Acadia is powered by electricity and the air is distributed through ductwork. Because this is a dual-compressor system, it consumes less electricity than most heating and cooling units and it does not require oil or gas. This operation will save you money and keep you comfortable all year round.
Hybrid Heating System
What is a "Hybrid" System? Well, it's just like a hybrid car that uses both gasoline and electricity. A Hybrid System uses a combination of electricity and either oil or LP for heat. The source is a heat pump. It looks just like the outdoor unit of an air conditioner. The term heat pump is not a good one because it actually heats and cools. Yes, you get air conditioning all built into one system!

Gas or Oil Heating Systems

Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks installs a variety of highly efficient furnaces and boilers ranging from 80 to 96% efficiency. We also offer variable speed and two-stage furnaces, which can greatly increase your comfort level. By installing a system with a variable speed motor, the unit has the feature to constantly move air throughout your home-essentially acting as a whole-house air cleaner.
Another common feature added to heating systems is zoning. Imagine being able to control the temperature in your child's bedroom separately from your own. This is done through zoning. Zoning is the creation of distinct living areas in which the temperature is precisely controlled by its own thermostat. An Integrated Zone System represents the highest technological achievement in heating and air conditioning. It will run so quietly and provide such even and continuous comfort that you'll wonder how you lived without it for so long. You no longer will need to worry about the upstairs being a different temperature from downstairs.

Radiant Heating Systems
Radiant heat systems offer many advantages over traditional heating systems. Perhaps the most important advantage is the improved comfort level achieved with radiant heat systems. Radiant heating allows a room to be heated evenly by increasing the room's average surface temperature and it is energy efficient. You can save money on energy bills with Radiant heating due to comfort at lower temperatures, room by room zoning, and lower water temperatures. Whether you choose to put radiant floor heating throughout your entire home or take the chill off your kitchen or bathroom floors, you will surely enjoy the many benefits:
- Even heat throughout your home
- Efficiency that can result in lower heating bills
- Room by room temperature control
- Clean & quiet
- Furniture placement is easy, no heating vents to get in the way
- Increases the value of the home
- Heat just one room, one floor or the entire home
- Warm just the barefoot areas of your home: kitchens, bathrooms
- Snow & ice melting is radiant heating outside

How does the system work? Warm water runs through flexible durable PEX tubing embedded under the floor. Heat is transferred upwards turning your entire floor into a warm, mild radiator. A variety of hot water heat sources are available to warm the water that flows through the PEX tubing.
Why is radiant floor heating so efficient? Radiant floor heating is an efficient delivery system when compared to small vents or radiators that try to blast enough heat into a room to warm it up. Heat stays near the floor where it's needed, not wasted at the ceiling. You can save 20-40% on your monthly heating bills depending on the type of product you choose.
Can I use any floor covering? Yes. Tile, marble, vinyl, wood and carpeting.
Is radiant floor heating only for new construction? Radiant floor heating works in new, remodeling or retrofit projects. The important thing to remember is to start the planning process early.
What about air conditioning? You have comfort choices here too. A properly sized, independent air conditioning system puts air vents where they make sense. It provides cooling comfort that complements the benefits of a radiant floor heating system.
